I love that you are doing this with the old cameras! I haven’t had some of my old collection out in years, but you are getting me thinking about doing it. There is part of me that never wants to go back to the film and chemicals and all the fun they caused . . . but there is a part of me that really misses that process. The patience, the thinking, the planning, would all be could to go back to again.
Well, what are you waiting for? :D Just do it- if you don’t like it, you can always quit. I’ve found it to be immensely inspiring. The patience and thinking is so worth it, it changes your digital photography too. I’ve gone back to appreciating photography more. And it’s seriously exhilarating to take a photo with a box from the twenties, wondering what’s going to be on those negatives.. :) It’s expensive though.. I keep buying old cameras (cheap ones, but still) and using up film etc…
Never thought I’d ever go back to analog, but now that I have, I really love it. Too bad I threw out all the dark room stuff a few years ago.. then again, wouldn’t really know where to buy and leave the chemicals nowadays :) (but seeing the photo appear in the developer has it’s charms, right? well.. we’ll have to make do with swankolab, I guess :D )
