Impossible offered PX100 test film for sale to pioneer customers. My fridge is kind of full already but of course I couldn’t pass up this opportunity..
Today I received my package; this was the first shot I took on the new film. The photo itself deserves a bit more effort (a remake will be done soon) but the black and whites in this new film really make me very happy.

In comparison, this is one of my first photos from the first batch Impossible sold in march of 2010..

(the ‘color’ of these photos are as true to the originals as possible; I had a different scanner at the time and the border of this photo looks very different because of that)

The Impossible Project’s factory outlet store (in Enschede, the Netherlands) has been open for a while now (on fridays from 11 am – 4 pm), but I hadn’t paid them a visit yet, until today. It’s a tiny store selling polaroid cameras, new Impossible film packs, buttons and photo frames. The perfect opportunity to test the new PX 680 film (that I received yesterday) and to buy a few packs of PX black frame film of course.

I took this shot without using the flash (if I’m not mistaken the store was lit by fluorescent light) and I kept it covered for at least 5 minutes. It’s ‘unedited’.
Impossible’s new colour film is a colour film indeed! It’s exciting to see how far they’ve come.

Tomorrow should be a sunny day- hopefully I’ll be able to test this film a little more then. I’m looking forward to it!

I had planned to redesign this website first, but that has to wait a little longer, unfortunately. There is a new blog for my iPhone365 project online though, so if you’re interested in the project you can now subscribe to the rss feed.

I have decided to start a second iPhone365. I have been thinking for some time now about wanting to do another daily project or a weekly or themed project. Came up with various plans and ideas but in the end I decided it would be best not to make it too difficult if I really wanted to keep this up for another year. So I chose the iPhone as a camera again, the format black and white squares. I will try to strive for quality as much as possible, I won’t be trying to upload each and every day.

Photo 1- the meter measures absolute darkness, which is where I felt I was, being unfocussed and all. Day one and it points to 1. It’s also referring to the last photo of my previous project and if you look closely you can see that photo here too.

Photo 2 was the image I saw as soon as I walked into a certain basement that day. As soon as I saw it I had one of those oh! moments where I just had to snap it immediately. Less thought out, more feeling, this one.
